The proposed charges reflect the vastly improved facilities and environment resulting from our recent refurbishment of the Church building. These include new and improved kitchen and toilet facilities and a more efficient heating and ventilation system.
Use of Kitchen
The above charges would include access to and use of the kitchen for light use, i.e. making tea/coffee, preparing snacks/light refreshments.
There will be a flat rate charge of £10 for heavy use i.e. food preparation for parties or other social events. Hirers will need to provide proof of Food Handling Safety certificates.

For Official Church Groups there will be £10 refundable key deposit.
For all other users there will be a £25 refundable deposit to include damage, breakages, exceptional cleaning costs and key deposit.
Utility charges
Utility costs associated with the new heating and ventilation system are included in the revised prices.
Discounts and Reductions
The Pricing Schedule is based on the following criteria.
- Church related outreach activities or use by Official Church Groups would not be chargeable, but a voluntary contribution would be expected where appropriate.
- There will be a discount of 10% for Registered Charities
- General community activities will be subject to the published rates
- Rates for long term or regular room bookings would be subject to negotiation.
PAT Testing
All external groups using their own electrical equipment on site need to be responsible for their own PAT testing due to safety reasons.

The consumption of any alcoholic drinks is not permitted on Methodist Church premises.
Terms and Conditions
All Terms and Conditions are set out in the Letting Agreement that must be signed by all Hirers, together with a key-holder agreement and acceptance of fire safety procedures.
